James T. Davis

JAMES T. DAVIS, 90, of Elizabeth, WV, formerly of Toronto, OH, passed Wednesday March 13, 2024 at VA Hospital, HJ Heinz Campus, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born December 11, 1933 in Elizabeth, WV, son of the late Alfred Dale Davis and Delphia Ash Davis. He is also preceded in death by his son, Troy Alan Davis.

James was a United States Navy Veteran. After military service, James was an Ironworker with Local 549 in Wheeling, WV. After raising his family in Toronto, OH, James moved back to Elizabeth, WV. He loved fishing, Appalachian music, and spending time with his grandkids. James also loved beekeeping.

James is survived by his daughters, Desrae Trout (Dale) of New Alexandria, OH and Jana Dunlope (Greg) of Toronto, OH; grandkids, Sommer DeRose (Jason) of Pittsburgh, PA and James Dunlope of Toronto, OH; great granddaughter, Philomena DeRose; and brother, Kenneth Davis (Sandy) of Florida.

Military honors will be rendered by US Navy and American Legion Post No. 10 honor guards, Monday March 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 135 Gilson Avenue, Weirton, where the inurnment will take place. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton.
