Ada Bernoline Barnhart

ADA BERNOLINE BARNHART, 94 of Weirton, WV passed away Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville, OH. She was born March 14, 1922 in Clarksburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Harley R. and Harriett Reed Underwood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester T. Barnhart (1975); son, Dann G. Barnhart (2011); sister, Elaine LeMasters; brothers, Lionel "Bud" Underwood, Harley Underwood, Jr.

Ada was a member of The First Christian Church; Weirton Chapter No.147 OES, Three Score Seniors, and AARP. She was retired as a registered nurse from the former Ohio Valley Hospital (1962-1987). She previously had worked as a registered nurse at the former Weirton General Hospital (1953-1961).

Surviving are her daughter, Jacqueline L. Cox of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Randall Horn, II (Holly), Luther Horn (Kari), Nikki Bennett (Dan), Jennifer Hasenstab (Karl); great grandchildren, Michael Horn, Baylee Horn, Emma Hasenstab, Ella Hasenstab.

Visitation will be Friday January 27, 2017 4:00-7:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral/committal services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin L. Bowers presiding. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
