Albert D. Keeder

ALBERT D. KEEDER, 103 of Weirton, WV passed away Thursday September 14, 2017 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1914 in Toronto, OH. He was the son of the late James S. and Bertha Ellen Dalrymple Keeder. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Mary Hickman Keeder and Ethel Long Gardner Keeder; sisters, Nora Keeder, Helen Harris, Sylvia Starn, Florence Gormley, Maj. Dorothy Keeder, Betty Morgan; brothers, Earl, Robert, Donald "Bud" Keeder; stepdaughters, Joy Brady, Pat Suciu.

Albert was a member of the First Christian Church; American Legion Post No.375, Malvern, OH. He was a US Army, WW II veteran having served in Gen. George Patton's Third Army Railroad Operating Battalion in Europe. He retired in 1976 as a Carpenter from Local No.186, Steubenville, OH.

Surviving are his sister, Shirley Bailey of Weirton, WV; sister-in-law, Mildred Keeder of Weirton, WV; numerous step grandchildren/step great grandchildren/step great great grandchildren; many nieces/nephews.

Visitation will be Friday September 15, 2017 6:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral/committal services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m.Reverend Kevin L. Bowers will preside. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post No.10 and WV honor guards. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Albert's name to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 3252 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
