BIRGER "BUD" EVERTT REINHOLD LINDGREN, 81, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born May 23, 1943 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Berger Evertt Reinhold Lindgren and Dorothy Mae O'Brien Lindgren. Grandson of the late John and Anna Lindgren, John died while walking, hit by a car at 95 yrs. Maternal grandparents, Addie Mae Davis and George O'Brien. George died while walking, hit by a Trolly Bus at 79 years. Also preceded in death by his sister, Sondar Joan Stabis; and his nephew, Richard H. Stubbs.
Bud loved auto racing at Heidelberg Raceway, gambling, the challenge of repairing things, and construction. He was a former employee of Federal Paper Board in Steubenville, OH until they closed. He had numerous jobs, before obtaining the position as warehouse manager and maintenance at the Urban Mission, from which he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juanita Bernardini Lindgren; his children, Jeff, John, Lisa, and Melinda Bittinger (Joe); grandchildren, Corey, Joseph, Austin, Coletin, and Brittani; great-grandson, Hunter; great-niece, Kristen Richardson Cabrera (Jose) and their children, Annabelle and Sebastian; also his great-niece, Nicole Jarvis (J.J.) and their daughter, Olivia.
Per Bud’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton, WV.
