C. Paul Swiger

C.PAUL SWIGER, 72 of Weirton, WV passed away Thursday October 20, 2016. He was born March 25, 1944 in Alvy, WV. The son of the late Cledis A. and Minnie Lancaster Swiger. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jason E. Swiger; brother, Edward Swiger.

Paul was a Christian, member, and former Elder of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ; attended WV School of Preaching; past president of the Weir High Boosters Club and Oakland Fire Dept.; Weirton Steel Company 25 year club. He was a die hard Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. He retired after 37.5 years of employment with Weirton Steel Corp. as a reelman in the tin mill, c.a. line.

Surviving are his wife, Sara Cox Swiger; daughter, Gwen E.Tate of Weirton, WV; son, Wesley Swiger(Heather) of Westerville, OH; sister, Faye Ford(Rich) of Weirton, WV; brothers, William Swiger(Daisy) of Columbiana, Larry Swiger(Kelly) of Cortland, OH; grandchildren, Kristopher, Wesley("Wooz"), Kendrick, and Halli Swiger; Samantha and Cody Tate.

Visitation will be Monday October 24, 2016 at 4:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelists Steve Smithbauer and James Smith presiding. Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
