CALLIE J. ANTONIOU, 77 of Weirton, WV has fallen asleep and is now with the glory of the lord. She passed away Friday July 22, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1938 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late James and Irene Armands.
Callie was an active member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church where she was involved with the Philoptohos society and the Daughters of Penelope. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a friend to all that she knew, her love for people and her devotion to her church was unparaled. Her devotion to her husband and her family was of the greatest and her pride for her family was her spirit and strength throughout her life. Her love of family, TV game shows and documentaries, mathematics, and music filled her life as she lovingly raised her family.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, George P. Antoniou, daughter, Orania "Rain" Lucas of Weirton, WV; sons, Peter G. Antoniou of Weirton, WV, James G. Antoniou (Karen) of Steubenville, OH, Christo G. Antoniou of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Ashley and Chelsea Lucas, Timothy Antoniou, Gabriella and Zoe Antoniou, Michael Antoniou(Athena); great granddaughter Hellia.
Visitation will be Sunday July 24, 2016 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. at the STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Trisagion service will be Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be Monday from 10-11 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 3528 West Street, Weirton, WV. Reverend Father Frank Milanese will preside. Interment will be at the Greek Cemetery at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
