Charles Osborne Obituary
CHARLES E. OSBORNE, 90 of Weirton, WV passed away Monday November 7, 2016. He was born February 1, 1926 in Cove, OH. The son of the late John and Laura Swearingen Osborne. He was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin Osborne; grandson, Derec Osborne; three sisters; five brothers.
Charles served his country in the US Army, WW II, as a paratrooper. He was a member of the Smoking Woodcarvers; National Woodcarvers Association; 25 year club of Weirton Steel Company. Charles retired as a millwright in the blooming mill of Weirton Steel Corp.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, whom he married May 9, 1946 in Weston, WV, Wanda Lee Lemons Osborne; daughters, Linda Osborne, Holly Osborne, both of Weirton, WV, Sally DeThomas (Arthur) of Medina, OH; sons, Charles Osborne (Linda) of Gordon, GA, Samuel Osborne of Weirton, WV, Troy Osborne (Cheryl) of Walton, KY; brother, Harlan Osborne of Phoenix, AZ; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandsons.
At the request of Charles, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Weirton, WV.
