Clair E. Wright, Sr.

CLAIR E. WRIGHT SR., 71 of Hazelhurst, PA formerly of Eldersville, PA passed away Wednesday April 20, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 10, 1944 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Victor Eugene Wright and Pearl Anna Barnhart Wright. He was also preceded in death by his wife of nearly 46 years, Carol Jones Wright(8-12-2008); sisters, Nancy Thompson, Ruby Wright.

Clair was a member of Tucker United Methodist Church, Florence, PA; a US Army Veteran, Vietnam War Era, Elder Berries Senior Center, Smithton, PA, American Legion Post No.10, Weirton, WV. He retired from the blooming mill of Weirton Steel Corp. as a scarfer. He also owned Edison Drilling.

Surviving are his Companion, Myrna Wilcox of Hazelhurst, PA; daughter, Charmaine "Charmie" Wright of Avella, PA; son, J.R. Wright of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Cathy Rush(Chas), Mark Ambrose Jr.; sister, Rohonda Smitskey(Walter) of Paris, PA; brothers, Vic Wright(Bev) of Paris, PA, Fred Wright(Charlotte) of Paris, PA, Chuck Wright(Kay) of Florence, PA, Gary Wright of Paris, PA, Larry Wright SR.(Tammy) of Burgettstown, PA .

Visitation will be Friday April 22, 2016 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 3721 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral/committal/military services at 10:00 a.m. at the Tucker United Methodist Church, Steubenville Pike, Florence, PA where Pastor Kenn Jacobs will preside. Interment will be at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA. Military funeral honors will be rendered by the WV Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 10 Honor Guard.
