Diane M. Roney

DIANE M. RONEY, 61 of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at Valley Hospice Care Center South/Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS). She was born July 18, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Frank Joseph Roney and Margaret S. Skrak Roney. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Roney.

Diane was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She was a Professor of Nursing at Eastern Gateway Community College, Steubenville, OH where she also had been recognized as teacher of the year.

Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Edward A. "Dee" Roney; sons, Chad Roney of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Roney of Seneca Falls, NY; sister, Jan Covyeau of Mission Viejo, CA; nephew, Nicholas Covyeau of Scottsdale, AZ.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 26, 2016 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV with Reverend Manuel Gelido as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, PA.
