Donald J. Fancher

DONALD J. FANCHER, 71 of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday August 26, 2017 at home. He was born April 30, 1946 in Willows, CA. He was the son of the late Donald Charles Davis and Nellie Vermillion. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Dorothy Davis; brother, Carl Luker, Jr.; sister, Charee Guess.

Donald was a US Army, Vietnam veteran, who served two tours/18 months as a paratrooper/101st airborne. He was a member of American Legion Post No.10. Don was an avid golfer and woodworker. He greatly enjoyed his grandkids. Don retired after 32 years from Weirton Steel Corp. as a pipefitter in the strip steel dept.

Surviving are his wife, Freda Ruth Williams Fancher; daughter, Jennifer Klein (Bob) of Hillman, MI; son, Jason Fancher (Tammy) of Toronto, OH; brother, Donald Davis (Darlene) of Taft, CA; sisters, Nelda Steidley (Jim) & Dorothy King (Bill) all of McAlestar, OK, Denise Lane (Dan) of Lodi, CA, Debbie Wagner (Kevin) of Stockton, CA; grandchildren, Jessie Trifonoff (Wesley Templeton), Dalton Reese, Josh Fancher, Isabella Domhoff, Aaron Wilson.

Visitation will be Monday August 28, 2017 5:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV.
