DOROTHY L. BOYD, 81 of Follansbee, WV passed away Friday June 2, 2017 at home. She was born April 14, 1936 in Long Run, WV. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Clay Boyd and Annie Myrtle Thompson Boyd. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Denver, James, Carl Boyd.
Dorothy retired from Weirton Steel with over 32 years of service. She retired as a tin plate inspector.
Surviving are her son, Brian Boyd of Follansbee, Wv; granddaughter, Leiarah Boyd; sisters, Mary Ann Rosnick of Mesa, AZ, Carleen Sanflippo of SC, Helen Lotzgeselle (Thomas) of Seattle, WA, Irene Connell (Thomas) of PA; brother, Kenneth Boyd (Linda) of Weirton, WV.
Visitation will be Monday June 5, 2017 5:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
