Edith Marie Barber

Edith Marie Harless Barber, 82, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023 after a sudden decline in health.
Born on May 16, 1941 to the late Joel and Lucille Thomas Harless, Edith lived her life devoted to her Christian faith, her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of Colliers Way Church of Christ. Edith will be remembered for her perseverance, her sense of humor, her delicious cooking and baking, her kindness and generosity towards others, and as a devoted mother and grandmother.
Edith was preceded in death by brother, David Harless; and sister, Georgena Harless.
Edith is survived by daughter, Tina Collins (late Don) of Weirton; sons, John Barber of New Cumberland and Craig Barber of Weirton; grandchildren, Zach Collins (Dakota), Jessica Collins, Samantha Collins, and Gary Barber; great-granddaughter, Sylvia Collins; sisters, Dorothy Rowland, Gerri Dalesio (Larry) and Kathy Kruger (Frank).
Visitation will take place Wednesday December 27, 2023 at 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, where a celebration of life will be held Thursday at 11 AM with Evangelist Tom Derby presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
