Edward Jonczak Obituary
EDWARD H. JONCZAK, 84 of Weirton, WV passed away Friday November 11, 2016 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1932 in Weirton, WV. The son of the late John S. and Albinia Rose Jurek Jonczak.
Ed was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church; he served his country in the US Navy, Korean War; he was a VITA/certified tax volunteer for many years at the Weirton Senior Center; he enjoyed motorcycles, painting, gardening, making wines, fixing things, and anything that involved his grandchildren/great grandchildren, and simply just helping his family. He retired from the tin mill/electrolytic line dept. of Weirton Steel Corp.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Florence Dugas Jonczak; son, E.Michael Jonczak of Weirton, WV; daughters, Elaine Jonczak Sheets (Bob) of Green Bank, WV, Marcia Jonczak Ritchie of Vienna, WV; five grandchildren, Zak, Ross, and Molly Ritchie, Jacob and Jedrek Sheets; two great grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Harris of Paris, PA; brother, John K. Jonczak (Kathleen) of Weirton, WV.
At the request of Ed, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held Saturday November 26, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Point Pleasant United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, WV. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Weirton, WV.
