Elizabeth Acord Obituary
ELIZABETH "LIZ" J. ACORD, 94 passed away Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Cameron, WV. She was born August 4, 1922 in Scotland. The only daughter of the late Belle (Crook) and Thomas Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Acord;daughter, Donna Jacqueline Acord; brothers, Tom, George, and Bill.
Liz came to America when she was 7 years of age and spent most of her life living in Wyoming and Raleigh counties of West Virginia. Liz was an all around special person with lots of humor. She loved politics and gained many friends throughout the state with her political travels.
Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Fahey; 3 grandchildren, William Fahey, Sean Fahey, and Erin Spencer; 4 great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or services. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Weirton, WV.
