Elizabeth "Betty Lou" Louise Hornbecker

ELIZABETH "BETTY LOU" LOUISE HORNBECKER, 88 of Weirton, WV passed away Sunday September 11, 2016 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Beech Bottom, WV. She was born March 21, 1928 in Weirton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Cyril G. Wallace and Louise Brenz Wallace Salo. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marion Bock.

Betty Lou was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Prior to her marriage, Betty Lou was employed in the general offices at Weirton Steel Corp. She found enjoyment in baking, crocheting, and playing bingo.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Harry F. Hornbecker; brothers, John Wallace (Shirley) of Steubenville, OH, William Wallace (Judy) of Weirton, WV, Thomas Salo (Betty) of Evergreen, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday September 14, 2016 6:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral/committal services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Heckathorn presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
