Elva C. Moneypenny

ELVA C. MONEYPENNY, 96 of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday May 21, 2016 at Gables Care Center, Hopedale, OH. She was born July 29, 1919 in Doddridge County, WV. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Sponaugle and Verena Adams Sponaugle. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Everett McKinney, Roy Moneypenny; daughters, Willajean Lang, Deloris Glasure; seven sisters, five brothers; favorite sister in law, Jennie Mae Sponaugle.

Elva was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Weirton, WV. She was retired from Colliers Steel as a stamper; Weirton Medical Center as a housekeeper.

Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Freshour (Richard) of New Cumberland, WV, Almadean Glasure (Edward) of Toronto, OH; sons, Melford McKinney (Linda) of Toronto, OH, Delford McKinney (Carmen) of McClure, PA; 18 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday May 23, 2016 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral/committal services will be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Three Spring Cemetery.
