GENEVIEVE F. "PETE" CLINE, 96 of Weirton, WV went to her heavenly home on Wednesday August 9, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born March 2, 1921 in Markleysburg, PA. She was the daughter of the late Jonas Ray Ault and Pearl Elizabeth Fike Ault. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Neal Franklin Cline (1998); great-granddaughter, Julie Lynne Jenkins; sister, Helen G. Lynch.
Genevieve was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She played the piano by ear from age 6 years old and shared her gift with many by playing for her church, first at Kings Creek Union Chapel, then Pleasant Valley United Methodist where she was a current member. She was also a member of Weirton Chapter No.147, O.E.S., having served as organist for several decades. In her most recent years, she attended Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Carol (Mike) Powell of Weirton, WV, Cheryl (Warren) Johnson of Colliers, WV; grandchildren, Jill (Dean) Jenkins, Jana (Bill) Ferrebee Clark, Olivia (Adam) Welsh, Luke (fiance' Shannon Johnston) Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, and Jenny (David) Lindemood; great-grandchildren, Jenna Jenkins, Katelynne and Emalee Ferrebee, Onna and Adalynne Welsh, Zachary Johnson, Jonathan Wetter, and Jeffery and Levi Lindemood.
Visitation will be Friday August 11, 2017 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Marvin Taylor presiding. Order of Eastern Star service will be Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Chapel Hill memorial Gardens.
The family extends their appreciation to the staff of Valley Hospice, Inc. for their kind care and compassion.
