Harry Herbert Ross, Sr.

HARRY HERBERT “HERB” ROSS, SR., 79, of Weirton, WV, passed Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at home. He was born May 1, 1945 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late John D. Ross and Mildred M. Spurrier Ross. Herb is also preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis Ross (Lena) and John Ross (Janet).

Herb lived his life for God, Family, Golf and Cards. Herb was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Wintersville, OH. He retired from Weirton Steel Corporation. He was a member and current chaplain of Moose Lodge No. 688 in Weirton. He loved golfing many courses with his core group of golfers. He enjoyed playing poker and woodworking. He was a shining example for his family of how to live a good life.

Herb is survived by his loving family, including his beloved wife, Mary Jo DeCollo Ross; children, Harry Herbert Ross, Jr., Judith Ann Macaluso (Brian), and Richard D. Ross (Alison Thurston); grandchildren, Ross Macaluso (Cicley), Alayna Ewusiak (Tyler), Erin Ross and Herbert Joseph Ross; great grandchildren, Sienna Layne Ewusiak and soon-to-be baby Macaluso; and brother, Edward Ross (Donna).

Visitation will take place Sunday, May 4, from 3pm to 6pm, at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, where the service will be Monday at 10am with Pastor Imre Gulyas presiding. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery.
