Iona "Baba" Urban

IONA "BABA" URBAN, 98 of Eastlake, OH formerly of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday April 22, 2017 at Kirtland Rehabilitation and Care, Kirtland, OH. She was born January 4, 1919 in Hazelton, PA. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Susannae Bondo Latzo. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Sinny" Urban (1978); brothers, Joseph and Steve; sister, Dolly; granddaughter, Rebecca Farrar Robinson; great grandson, Kyle Melkerson.

Prior to her move to Eastlake, OH she was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. There wasn't a person she met, that didn't love her for her kindness and humor.

Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Farrar; son, Charles Urban (Kathy), with whom she resided with in Eastlake, OH; brother-in-law, Richard Urban (Joyce); grandchildren, Robert and John Farrar, Chip Farrar, and Laura Urban Melkerson; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday April 27, 2017 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 200 Preston Avenue, Weirton, WV with Reverend Tony Thurston as celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
