JAMES H. WILLIAMS, 77, of Paris, PA, passed Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Valley Hospice Liza’s Place, Wheeling. He was born February 9, 1947 in New Freeport, PA, son of the late Phillip Glenn Williams and Maude Delvera Ballard Williams. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Leek Williams, who passed 5 days prior to James; his brothers, Loring “Bud”, Sherle, and Charles; and sisters, Laverne, Maryann, and Carrol.
James was a Weir High School graduate, Class of 1965. He retired after 37 years from Weirton Steel Corporation, working in the Blooming Mill and Steel Works Pipe Shop. Along with his wife, James was an avid bowler at both Steel Valley Lanes and Holiday Lanes in Weirton. He was also very active with the Weirton Termite Baseball Association.
He is survived by son, Chad Williams (Angel Nicholson Williams) of Weirton; grandchildren, Logan Hunter Williams and Tessa Nikol Williams; sisters, Ruth Williams Fancher of Weirton and Carren Williams Barnhart of Vicksburg, MS; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Per James’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton.
