Janice M. Griffin

JANICE M. GRIFFIN, 92, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Wyngate of Weirton. She was born January 14, 1932 in Weirton, daughter of the late Arthur and Susie Davis Dennis. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Wayne Griffin (2000); her loving daughters, Karen Henry and Wendy Hayes; brothers, Robert, Ernest, Gerald Arthur and Delmar Dennis; and sisters, Edith Shawver and Ruth Fetty.

Janice was a member of Weirton Heights Church of Christ and Colliers Way Church of Christ. She was very active in volunteering at the church’s Clothes Closet. Nothing meant more to Janice than her loving family and her church.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Melvin Hayes; loving granddaughters, Kacey Pate (Matt) and Lindsay Myers (Brandon); and great-grandchildren, Remi and Matthew.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 4pm until time of service at 6pm, at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, with Evangelist Tom Derby presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Colliers Way Church of Christ, 612 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
