John "Jack" W. Brakebill

JOHN “JACK” W. BRAKEBILL, 92, of Weirton, WV, passed peacefully at home Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was born June 20, 1933 in Weirton, son of the late Philip E. Brakebill and Hazel E. Furbay Brakebill. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Anita M. Wetzel Tuttle Brakebill (2001); and sister, Diana M. Donohue.

Jack is a Weir High School graduate. He worked as a Scheduler and Expediter of Materials at Weirton Steel Corporation. He is a member of Weirton Heights Church of Christ.

Jack is survived by his children, Shirley L. Duke, Earl E. Tuttle (Terri), and Bruce E. Brakebill; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brother, Philip E. Brakebill, Jr. (Nancy); and sister, Marilou L. Racer (John).

Per Jack’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton, WV. Inurnment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with his beloved Anita.
