Judy Ann Riter

JUDY ANN RITER, 79, of Paris, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, SC. She was born June 9, 1944 in Harlingen, TX, daughter of the late Willard Wesley Wagner and Mary Virginia Blake Wagner. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald “Ron” M. Riter, Sr. (2022).
Judy was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Weirton Women’s Club, Garden Club, and a Founding Member of Hanover VFD Women’s Auxillary. Judy loved reading, tending to her flowers, watching Western TV shows and cheering for her Dallas Cowboys. Above all else, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Judy worked for many years at Weirton Geriatric Center.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Matalik (Bob) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Stacy Morra (Mike) of Paris, PA, and Robin Terle (Dave) of Sharpsburg, GA; stepsons, Mark Riter (Kathy) of Anderson, IN and Ronald Riter, Jr. of Weirton; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Wagner (Lesley) of Weirton; and sisters, Brenda Nurmi (Chuck) of Weirton and Mary Bailey (Mike) of Colliers.

Visitation will take place Monday, January 8 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, with Father Tom Magary presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
