Julia Ann Helba

JULIA ANN HELBA, 101, of Weirton, WV passed Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born January 28, 1924 in Weirton, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Karaffa Lesko. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Helba (Jan. 1968); son, Mark Helba (Dec. 2017); and sister, Pauline Lesko.

Julia was a former member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Weirton.

She is survived by her son, Richard Helba (Mary Jo) of Weirton; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Helba; grandchildren, Lucas Helba (Stacy) and Sara Tender (Jesse); and great grandchildren, Jessica, Rylee, Emma and Morgan.

A private service took place at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton, WV. Interment took place next to her husband John at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Weirton.
