Julia Mae Swiger

JULIA MAE SWIGER, 92 of Weirton, WV formerly of Smithfield, WV passed away Saturday April 7, 2018 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Wellsburg, WV. She was born March 24, 1926 in Smithfield, WV. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Flora E. Doyle Hammond. Julia was also preceded in death by her husbands, Clem Leasure and Edward Swiger; daughter, Mary Yoho; sons, James Keith Leasure, Donald Leasure, Paul Leasure; six sisters; two brothers.

Julia loved cooking, canning, and baking. She was a kind person who was a caretaker for many through her years.

Surviving are her daughters, Imojean Homan of Salinesville, OH, Betty L. Brooks (William) of Weirton, WV; daughter-in-law, Jane Leasure of Windham, OH; stepson, Daniel Swiger of Florida. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial visitation will be Thursday April 12, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where Evangelist Tom Derby will preside.
