Kathleen K. Hamilton

KATHLEEN K. HAMILTON, 77, of Weirton, WV and Bethel Park, PA, passed Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, PA. She was born October 22, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Samuel McClelland Hamilton and Elaine Kurtz Hamilton.

Kathleen was a 1964 graduate of Bethel Park Sr. High School. She worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Rehabilitation. She also owned and operated Celebration Art & Frame in Weirton alongside her husband for 10 years. Kathleen loved horses, competitive skating, ballroom dancing and water aerobics at the Millsop Community Center.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Renee Blakeley of Wellsville, OH and Arlene Dudeck (Paul) of Bulger, PA; stepson, Ken Platko of Weirton; grandchildren, Justin Blakeley and Travis, Dustin and Alaina Brown; and great-grandchildren, Gavin and Jenna Blakeley and Sarah Yang; brothers, Tim Hamilton (Janet) and Randy Hamilton (Margie); and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Kenneth G. Platko (2019); grandson, Nathan Blakeley; and great-grandson, God’s little angel, Levi Blakeley.

Visitation will take place Thursday, October 3, from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Rd., Weirton, with Pastor James Rhodes presiding.
