Linda L. Buffington

LINDA L. BUFFINGTON, 75 of Weirton, WV passed away Sunday May 27, 2018 at Villa Vista Royale Nursing Home, Steubenville, OH. She was born August 22, 1942 in Wallace, WV. She was the daughter of the late Douglas Theodore Swiger and Iva Lucille Kincaid Switiger. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Myra Sue McGinnis.

Linda retired from the Hancock County Board of Education after 33 years as a teacher's aide at the former Liberty Elementary School.

Surviving are her husband, Paul Udell Buffington; son, Paul D. Buffington (Shari); grandsons, Paul Ryan Buffington (fiance' Breona Brown), Zachary Buffington (Jonnielyn Krieger), Thomas Buffington, Josiah Buffington; brother, Gail D. Swiger (Tina Castner Gump); niece, Maryann Amendola (John), Michael Swiger (Jackie).

Visitation will be Wednesday May 30, 2018 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral and committal services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin L. Bowers presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
