LulaBelle Tate, 94, of Weirton, WV passed away Friday January 26, 2024 at home. She was born February 20, 1929, in Brown, WV to the late Charley and Ivy (Hayhurst) Hammond. In addition to her parents, LulaBella was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Keifer Yeater (1988) and Elza Tate (2001); daughter Shiela Raye Yeater; stepdaughter, Nelda Lowther; stepson, Duane Tate; and seven brothers and sisters.
LulaBelle is survived by brother, Danny Hammond of Clarksburg, WV; her children, Tamra “Tammy” (Mike) Williams of Weirton, WV, and David “Richard” (Pam) Yeater of Beaumont, TX; stepson, James (Sue) Tate of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Kevin (Ashley), Tommy, Cody, Tyler, Eric (Lisa), Mark (Mary), Rachel (Craig), Jacob (Misty), and Josh; great grandchildren, Emalyn, Cason, Allison, Matthew, Johnathon, Mark, Zachary, Ryan, Livi, Luke, and Averie.
LulaBelle was a member of the Kings Creek Union Chapel, along with the Cora Moore Bible Class and Ladies Aides Society at the church.
Visitation will take place Monday January 29 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton. Funeral service will be Tuesday January 30 at 11 AM at Kings Creek Union Chapel, 2883 Kings Creek Rd, Weirton, with Tony Nicosia presiding. Entombment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
