Martha Juanetta Hercules Gonzales

MARTHA JUANETTA HERCULES GONZALES, 92, of Weirton, WV, passed Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born February 9, 1933 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Wheeler and Hilma Leadley Hercules. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gonzales (1989); granddaughter, Brianna Leigh Swain; and siblings, David Hercules, Thomas Hercules, Margaret McMonagle and Rebecca Smith Daniels.

Martha worked for Weirton Senior Citizen’s Center, where she drove bus and cleaned houses for seniors. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her children, Diana Swain, John Swain (Myeong Ji), Sue Miller (George), and Jim Swain; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, November 17, from 11am until time of service at 12pm, at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, with Pastor Marlin Hawley presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
