MARTIN W. MADISON, 81, of Weirton, WV passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was born November 17, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Peter Sylvester “Pete” Madison and Mildred Tizzano Madison; he is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Diana G. Savage Madison (2022); and his brother, Pete Madison.
Martin attended St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton, WV. He served his country for 6 years in the United States Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Corporal. During his time in the Marine Corps, he met his future wife, Diana Savage, who was a fellow Marine. He retired from US Air as a manager. He enjoyed golfing, ocean fishing, and in his early years he played the saxophone. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, who will truly miss him.
Surviving is his daughter, Erin Madison (Russ Stoner) of Weirton, WV; granddaughter, Madison McKnight (Hunter); great granddaughter, Aurora; step granddaughter, Shirley Stoner; step great grandson, Preston; sisters, Lin Keheley (late Chuck) and Valerie Berger (late Mike); and his sister-in-law, Earlene Madison.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 3, 2025, 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until time of the funeral at 7:30 p.m. at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Rev. Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr. will preside. Inurnment will be with his beloved Diana in St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations are suggested to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
