Mildred Meronoff Obituary
MILDRED MERONOFF, 84 of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Weirton, WV passed away on Thursday June 9, 2016. Millie was born on June 19,1931 in Nemacolin, PA. She was the daughter of the late Timo and Elizabeth Borovitz Krovocheck. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Michael "Mike" Meronoff; brother Sam Krovocheck, sisters, Dolores (Pete) Meronoff, Zora (Lazo) Trbovich.
Millie is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Burl/Jack) Anderson of Bluffton, SC; three sisters, Estelle (Leo) Harris of Valparaiso, IN; Ann Marie (Robert) Belich of West Mifflin, PA; Diane (Walter) Naglich of Greensburg, PA; one brother, Gilbert (Bernice) Krovocheck of Weirton, WV.
Millie came to Weirton, WV from Pennsylvania seeking employment, and worked in the Tin Mill Dept. of Weirton Steel and later as a bookkeeper at The Children's Shop. She was most recently a member of the Hardeeville, SC congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and prior to that was a member of the Weirton Congregation for over 40 years. She will long be remembered for her hospitality and her selflessness in caring for others.
Visitation will be Monday June 13, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. st the STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral/committal services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Gregory Ontko, an elder in the Naples, FL congregation presiding. Burial will be at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter, 715 Gas Valley Road, New Manchester, WV 26056.
