Naomi P. Jenkins

NAOMI P. JENKINS, 85 of Weirton, WV passed away Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1932 in MacFarlan, WV. She was the daughter of the late Fairley E. and Hazel M. Nutter Waggoner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dale J. Jenkins (2001); brother, Charles D. Waggoner.

Naomi was a Protestant by faith. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed their move to Florida where they were active in the Lake County Twirlers Club, square dancing and clogging, until they returned to the area in 1990. She was a past president of the Colliers VFD auxiliary. Naomi retired from the Brooke County Board of Education having worked as an aide at Colliers Primary School; food server at Brooke high school; and as a clerk at the US post office in Colliers, WV.

Surviving are her daughters, Virginia "Jenny" McMahon (Charles) of Colliers, WV, Donna DiGiacinto (Paul) of Follansbee, WV, Kathy Dunlevy (Chris) of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Scott McMahon (Lorrie), Rob McMahon, Kacey DiGiacinto, Shawn Dunlevy, Kelly Funk (Daniel), Kristin Dunlevy; great grandchildren, Tyler, Noah, Morgan, Cooper McMahon.

Visitation will be Sunday August 27, 2017 1-3 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Larry Garrison presiding. . Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
