Norma Jean Tunanidas

NORMA JEAN TUNANIDAS, 77, of Weirton, WV, passed Thursday, May 21, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 17, 1948 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late William and Ellen Baer Speicher. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, John James Tunanidas, Sr. (2022); and sister, Nora Proctor (2016).

Norma worked as a travel agent for many years in Steubenville. She was Presbyterian by faith and previously attended Cove Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the former Weirton Jaycee-Ettes. Norma also enjoyed cross-stitching, quilting and spending time with family.

She is survived by her loving children, Cherie O’Dell and John “J.J.” Tunanidas, Jr.; grandsons, Stone and Ian O’Dell; and sister-in-law, Irene Roach.

Per Norma’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton.
