Olive E. Sweeney

OLIVE E. SWEENEY, 87 of Weirton, WV passed away Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville, OH. She was born February 20, 1929 in Weirton, WV. The daughter of the late Albert and Edith Salsey Ferrari. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Sweeney (7-31-2010); brothers, Oscar and Walter Ferrari.

Olive was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where she was also a member, and served as treausrer of the Elizabeth Varner Circle, for many years.

Surviving are her sons, William A. Sweeney of Weirton, WV, Mark K. Sweeney (Tracey) of Casa Grande, AZ; two special nieces, Linda and Joyce Smythe, and many cousins, including Elijah Robinson.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 2, 2016 6:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 3721 Main Street, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donald Dague presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Olive's name, to the First Baptist Church, 307 Homewood Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
