PATTY LOU EDDY, 88, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 17, 2026.
Born on November 25, 1937, in New Cumberland, West Virginia, Patty was the daughter of the late Harley W. Wetzel and Olive V. Stephens Wetzel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert Doyle Eddy, in 2022; her daughter, Diana Sue Eddy; and her sister, Anita Brakebill and her husband, John.
A 1955 graduate of Weir High School, Patty devoted her life to her family, her faith, and serving alongside her husband throughout his ministry. As a faithful preacher's wife, she and Robert ministered to congregations of the Church of Christ in West Virginia, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Their shared commitment to God and the church touched the lives of many over the years. Patty was a devoted member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ.
Patty found joy in caring for others, especially through her love of sewing and cooking. She will be remembered for her quiet faith, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She is survived by her loving son, Keith Edward Eddy and his wife, Tonya, of Minnesota; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Honoring Patty's wishes, no visitation will be held. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Weirton. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Robert, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
