Patty J. Simeraro

PATTY J. SIMERARO, 75, of Wintersville, OH, formerly of Weirton, WV, passed Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born February 21, 1950 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Patsy “Buck” Cafera and Evelyn Bickerstaff Cafera. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Steve Simeraro; and son, Justin Perkins.

Patty was Christian by faith and grew up attending Cove United Presbyterian Church in Weirton. She was a graduate of Weir High School before continuing her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught at Franciscan College of Steubenville before receiving her master’s degree in Counseling. She enjoyed running, gardening and stained glass work.

She is survived by her brother, Robert A. Cafera (Jacqueline); niece, Nicole Cafera; and nephew, Robert "Rob" A. Cafera, Jr. (Janice).

Per Patty’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Inurnment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton.
