Richard "Ric" Cooper

RICHARD "RIC" COOPER, 63 of Weirton, WV passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was was born July 2, 1953 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of Maureen Hill Cooper of Weirton, WV and the late Victor H. Cooper (2005). Ric was also preceded in death by daughter Crystal Dawn Cooper (1996).

Ric recently retired after 19 years from the City of Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation maintenance staff where he was also a certified pool operator.

Along with his mother he is survived by his wife, Tina Yee Ziegler Cooper; daughter, Heather Cooper; son, Mark Cooper (Bobbi) all of Weirton, WV; sister, Cynthia Scott (William) of Georgetown, PA; brother, Victor Thomas Cooper (Barb) of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Sparky Cooper, Sierra Haught (Travis); great grandchildren, Angel and Braylin. Thursday April 13, 2017 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Coty Shingle presiding. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
