RICHARD C. FRESHOUR, 52, of North Beach, MD, formerly of Weirton, WV, passed away unexpectedly Sunday November 26, 2023. He was born February 22, 1971 in Steubenville, OH, son of Richard B. and Carolyn McKinney Freshour of New Cumberland, WV.
Richard was a graduate of Weir High School Class of 1989. Richard was a US Air Force Staff Sergeant who was previously stationed at Enid, OK. He currently was working for Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Maryland. Richard was a member of the United Methodist Church of Owings, MD. He was a man of faith and read his bible regularly. He loved his church and enjoyed delivering food to the needy. Richard was a history buff who loved antiques, classic cars and big band music.
In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by his older brother of 4 minutes, Robert Freshour (Melissa) of Weirton; sister, Lisa Nirk (Dennis) of Ray City, GA; beloved nieces and nephews, Ace Eannottie (Madison), Amber Eannottie, John Richard Freshour, and Alayna Freshour; and great nephews, Izaiah and Maverick Eannottie.
Visitation will be Friday December 8, 2023 from 3pm until time of service at 5pm at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, with Rev. Larry Barkley presiding. Military honors will follow, rendered by American Legion Post No. 10 and US Air Force honor guards.
