RONALD B. CAMERON, 76, of Weirton, WV passed Friday, September 20, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born March 20, 1948 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Leo B. Cameron and Alice Schultz Cameron.
Ronald retired from the Blast Furnace of Weirton Steel Corporation as a High-Line Crew Leader. Ronald had a passion for machines. He was a machinist at heart and could fix or build anything he put his mind to. He enjoyed fixing and painting cars in his free time. He often went camping with friends. He loved a good day of fishing or working in his garden.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Laurel Jeffers Cameron; sons, Ronald Cameron of Paris, PA and Jason Cameron of Weirton; stepsons, Emerson Parkinson (Darla) of Jefferson, PA and Raymond Parkinson III (Shelby) of Weirton; 4 granddaughters, 1 great-granddaughter; and brother, Vincent Cameron of Newell, WV.
Per Ronald’s wishes, there will be no visitation at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton, WV.
