Rose Marie Rauen

ROSE MARIE RAUEN, 86, of Burgettstown, PA, formerly of Florence, KY, passed Friday, March 28, 2025 at home. She was born September 10, 1938 in Erlanger, KY, daughter of the late Joseph Eugene “Joe” Peeno and Henrietta Rose Moritz Peeno. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Harvey Shaw (Feb. 2023); and brother, Joseph Henry “Red” Peeno (Jan. 2024).

Rose was a stock trader in shareholder services with Procter and Gamble Company. Rose and her late husband Dale loved traveling, spending 3 years venturing across the country. She went on 37 cruises and visited every continent in her lifetime. She enjoyed activities at the local senior center, crocheting and reading. Rose was infatuated with Christmas and insisted on decorating every space in her house during the Christmas season. She even had a small tree in her bedroom year-round to keep the Christmas spirit alive. More than anything, Rose loved her children and grandchildren, who were her everything.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Diane Ohe; son, Joseph Rauen (Donna); and grandsons, Adam Ohe (Meghan) and Shane Ohe (Jennifer).

Per Rose’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton, WV.
