Ruth E. Fox

RUTH E. FOX, 87 of Weirton, WV passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born January 14, 1929 in Georgetown, WV. She was the daughter of the late Glen and Ethel McNeely Poland. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dwain Poland.

Ruth was an active member of Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church; GFWC Weirton Womens Club and the Art dept.; Three Score Seniors; 1947 Weir High School graduate. Ruth enjoyed playing in her bridge club, which even included friends from high school. Prior to motherhood, Ruth worked as an operator at the former C & P Telephone Co.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Raymond Fox; daughters, Judy Hince(Michael) and Carol Marino; grandchildren, Adam Hince (Allyson), Jacob Hince, Jessica Walmar (Jeff), Anthony Marino, Brian Marino, Lauren Marino; great grandchildren, Trace and Liam, and one more soon to be.

Visitation will be Thursday June 23, 2016 5:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be Friday 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral/committal services at 11:00 a.m. at Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, 121 Ivy Street, Weirton, WV. Pastor William Stout will preside. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
