Thomas Connell Obituary
THOMAS E. CONNELL, 86 of Cheswick, PA formerly of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday December 9, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born October 1, 1931 in Weirton, WV. He was the son of the late James Edward Connell and Edith Josephine Bright Connell. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James E. Jr., Jerry, and Jack Connell.
Tom was a member of Victory Life Ministries (Paris/Burgettstown); a US Air Force, Korean War veteran; and a proud NRA member. He retired as a clerk in the blooming mill of Weirton Steel Corp.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Irene Boyd Connell; daughters, Tammy Armbrust (Jeff) of Cheswick, PA, Lisa Jensen (John) of Cranberry Township, PA; son, James T. Connell of Florida; grandchildren, Jeremy Riter (Amber), Michael Sperringer, Melissa Beckwith (Shawn); great grandchildren, Oliver, Jackson, Austin, Lilly, Evelyn; sisters, Dorothy Martin of New Cumberland, WV, Patty Brock of Weirton, WV, Carol Trujillo (Sal) of Weirton, WV; brothers, Robert Connell (Ruth) and Timothy Connell (Chris) all of Weirton, WV.
Visitation will be Tuesday December 12, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jason Romine presiding. Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV with military funeral honors rendered by the USAF honor guard and American Legion Post No.10 honor guard.
