VANCE EUGENE WILLIAMS, 54, of Paris, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at WVU Medicine – Weirton Medical Center.
Born on July 18, 1971, in Weirton, WV, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Trixie L. (Leek) Williams.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Eugene honorably served his country for 16 years as a Combat Engineer, completing several tours. His deep sense of patriotism and commitment to protecting freedom remained a source of pride throughout his life. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 10 in Weirton.
In his younger years, Eugene was a standout baseball player whose talent earned him a college scholarship. Sadly, injuries brought an early end to his athletic career. Despite life’s challenges, Eugene embraced each day with courage and a fearless spirit. He had a gift for conversation and never met a stranger, making friends wherever he went.
Eugene found great joy in the simple things—hunting, gardening, and especially teaching his family how to can food the right way. He lived freely and passionately, with no greater symbol of that freedom than riding his Harley Davidson.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lynn Queen Williams; his daughters, Madison Elizabeth Rhodes (Tanner) of California, Anabella Louise Williams of Paris, PA, and Myrra Nicole Charlton of New Jersey; his brother, Shawn Williams (Tawnya) of Bulger, PA; and many close friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
In accordance with Eugene’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton.
