Vereda Cain Dailey

Vereda Cain Dailey,99,of Weirton, passed away Sunday, January 8,2017 at the Valley Haven Geriatric Center,Wellsburg,WV. She was born in Wileyville, WV., on July 30,1917, the last surviving sibling of thirteen brothers and sisters to the late Samuel Cain and the late Victoria Cain Wickham. On July 25,1937 in Wellsburg, WV., Vereda was joined in marriage to Lewis "Luke" Joseph Dailey who passed away February 10,1997. Vereda was also preceded in death by her foster son Cam Fisher.

Vereda was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ.She was a loving homemaker and everything was precious when it came to her family.She also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture and collecting antiques.

She is survived by her son, William D. Dailey of Weirton,WV., five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 10 at the STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV., 26062 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with additional viewing on Wednesday, January 11 at the funeral home until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with minister Steve Smithbauer presiding and burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
