Violet Loretta Dulaney

VIOLET "VICKIE" LORETTA DULANEY, 91, of Colliers, WV went to sleep with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in the care of Seneca Rehabilitation Center in Wheeling, WV. Violet was born on January 30, 1933, in Happy Holler on Federal Ridge, St. Marys, WV. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Gertrude (Little) Beagle. Also preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, Zane, were her siblings, Luella Grace, Edgar, Archie, and Richard Beagle, her daughter-in-law Lynn, and son-in-law Robert.

Early in her life, Violet worked as a Tin Flopper in both Weirton Steel and Colliers Steel. She had also worked various other jobs when she met the love of her life Zane Dulaney. They married on January 24, 1952, in Colliers, WV where they were happily married until his death in May 2005. Violet continued to work until her children were born, which became her full-time job. Violet was involved in numerous activities as an active volunteer, always helping in the Colliers PTA, Colliers Ladies Auxiliary, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and later grandma. Violet was a member of the Colliers Way Church of Christ. She always loved to be with both immediate and extended family and was a second mom to all of the kids that grew up nearby.

Surviving her are their four children David Dulaney, Philip (late Lynn Donell) Dulaney, Ronald Dulaney, and Darlene (late Robert) Brennan. Siblings: Charles (Bobbie) Beagle, John (Mary
Ann) Beagle. Brother-in-law: Charles Dulaney. Sister-in-law: Geneva McCarthy. Grandchildren (6): Aidan Dulaney, Ethan Dulaney, Edra (Eric) Jones, Ronnie (Anna) Dulaney, Michael
(Karli) Frederick & Bobby Brennan. Great Grandsons (3): Caden Jones, Ronnie & Oliver Dulaney, and a Great Granddaughter due in October.

To honor Violet’s final wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12pm until the time of Celebration of Life service in her Honor at 2pm, at the Colliers Way Church of Christ, 612 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV. 26062.
