Walter Eugene Straight, II,59,of Colliers,WV.,passed away on Friday,April 8,2016 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh,PA. He was born on March 15, 1957 in Wetzel County,WV.,a son to Edith Kimball Straight of Sistersville,WV., and the late Walter E. Straight,Sr. In 1987 Walter was joined in marriage to Lyda May Rawson in New Cumberland,WV. He was employed with the Solid Waste Landfill of Colliers,WV., as a diesel mechanic.He was dedicated to his friends and family and loved the outdoors.He also enjoyed being a truck driver for thirty years. Walter is survived by his mother Edith Straight of Sistersville,WV.,and his wife Lyda May Rawson Straight of Colliers,WV. He is also survived by his daughters Kayla (Donald) Shields of Wick,WV., Miranda (James) Rice of Sistersville,WV.,Ruth Ann (Chuck) Wells of Colliers,WV.; sons Tim Rawson of Weirton,WV.,Jeff Rawson of Colliers,WV., Jason Rawson of Weirton,WV, Shawn Rawson of Weirton,WV.,and Donald Magee of Colliers,WV.; brothers Raymond (Debbie) Straight of Columbus,OH. and Les Straight of Oscoda,Mich.; sisters Sherry (Frank) Porich of Weirton,WV. and Nora Miller of Norwich,OH. Walter is also survived by his grandchildren Caramia Southerly,Christopher Southerly,Donald Shields,Jr.,Stryder Shields,Skyla Shields,Hunter Wells,Rebecca Wells,Hayden Rawson, Shawn Monigold,Kyle Monigold,Brittany Monigold,Piper Blubaugh,Mikala Skinner,Grayson Robinson,David Smith,Bethany Smith,Jessie Jones,Austin Jones,Kara Jones, and Ryan Jones. Visitation will be held for Walter on Tuesday, April 12,2016 at STEEL AND WOLFE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES,Inc.,3721 MAIN STREET, WEIRTON,WV,26062 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday,April 13,2016 at 11:00 a.m.Burial will follow at the St. John cemetery in Colliers,WV.
