Wanda Lee Perkins

WANDA LEE PERKINS, 85 of Burgettstown, PA passed away Monday June 27, 2016 at home. She was born April 1, 1931 in Washington, PA. She was the daughter of the late Edgar E. and Alica May Dow Thompson. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Thomas Perkins II; brother, Edgar E. Thompson; foster brother, Franklin Earl Moss.

Wanda was a member of the Paris Nazarene Church, Hanover VFD Auxiliary(charter and lifetime member), 20 year member of Meals on Wheels, Silver Sneakers instructor, ladies bowling league. Wanda enjoyed camping, gardening, and bird watching. Wanda retired after 20+ years as a school bus driver with the Burgettstown School District.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, William Thomas Perkins; daughters, Linda Daniels(David) of Lyons, CO, Rachel Perkins of Burgettstown, PA, Holly Marie DiVecchio(Anthony) of Burgettstown, PA; son, Daniel Brian Perkins(Shelly) of Macungie, PA; brother, James A. Thompson(Patricia) of Washington, PA; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces/nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday June 29, 2016 2-4 & 6-8 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the Paris Nazarene Church, 9 Long Street, Paris, PA 15021 where Pastor Joe Ryan will preside. Burial will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Burgettstown Senior Center, 200 Senior Way, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
